Would you be able to say 2000 mantras in one go?

This 19-year-old just did it & here’s the tea. Welcome to Dharma Times, where every Friday, we share 3 hottest news updates that every Sanatani, Hindu & Bharatiya citizen should know.

Story 1 – This Gen-Z guy made history, proving that youth are reviving our culture, not destroying it.

Hailing from Maharashtra, वेदमूर्ति देवव्रत महेश रेखे just completed on 30th November, the दण्डक्रम पारायणम्, in which you have to recite nearly 2000 mantras (25 lakh padas) from the Yajurveda, specifically its Shukla branch – all flawlessly with the right accent & memory.

He did this for 50 days straight without a pause or break without a single mistake, and the last time someone achieved this superhuman feat was 200 years ago.

For those wondering how this is even possible, our Vedas have the most advanced compilation & coding techniques ever known to man, like channdas, pathas, svaras and more, that have allowed them to be orally preserved & passed on for thousands of years without being tampered or lost.

Story 2 – Our Sri Ram finally settled in his rightful home in Ayodhya after centuries of battle over the land.

On 25th November, the Ram Mandir witnessed its Dhwajarohan ceremony, which symbolises that the temple is structurally complete and spiritually ready. The Dharma Dhwaja that was hoisted combines 3 important Hindu symbols – Aum, Surya (the Sun, standing for radiance) and the Kovidara tree.

Kovidara, linked to Rishi Kashyapa, is a hybrid of two trees bearing sacred flowers, Mandara & Parijata, so their union stands for unity within diversity, which is the message of our Dharma.

The ceremony was led by PM Sri Narendra Modi with RSS Chiefs & other leaders in presence on the historic day.

Story 3 – Gita Press gets more land to expand its efforts.

Gita Press was just allotted 10 acres of land to expand its printing facilities in Gorakhpur by the UP Government led by Yogi Adityanath Ji.

This is expected to create hundreds of jobs & make more books & material available for spiritual seekers. This Press is behind all your best-selling religious books of our Dharma & culture, including what is considered the most source-authentic version of the Bhagavad Gita. It was started in 1923 by 3 men – Goyanka, Poddar & Jalan.

Since then, it has continued to make all our sacred texts easily accessible to the entire world. So this expansion plan to build a modern printing tech facility on the newly allotted land, backed by an 80 cr+ investment, will make a huge difference to our media efforts.
